About Dance Teq
For nineteen years, Dance Teq has been providing open dance classes to dancers of all levels and ages, and has become a vital part of the dance culture of Toronto. Under the direction of Kevin Pugh, Dance Teq has attracted a staff of internationally acclaimed instructors and celebrated musicians, teaching styles that reflect the diversity of dancing today.
Kevin Pugh taught for five years at Randolph Dance Theatre before branching out in 1997 to form a Sunday dance school housed at the Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre on Parliament Street. One year later, Dance Teq moved to the Walter Carsen Centre, which would remain its home base for 15 years. Now, Dance Teq is proud to call the Dance Teq Centre, in the heart of the theatre district on Queen Street West home, with three beautiful new studios.
